UPS strangeness? Computer shuts down everything else fine

I just got this APC BE650G1 UPS about 3 weeks ago after not having one for many years and something strange literally just happened.

My computer and router are both the only devices plugged into the battery backup and for some reason the computer just shut down out of nowhere. I should say rebooted because that's all it did. When it started back up I went to check my router and it shows a uptime of 7 days, so I immediately (take the chance not recommended) pulled the plug out of the wall and surprise surprise, nothing happened and it was running on backup like you'd expect.

Before it shut down and reboot I heard a beep and the green indicator light did a couple flashes. Anyone have any idea what just happened?

Could be your PFC power supply does not work with the modified square wave power that these low end UPSs put out.

Could also be that you used more that the 390W that this unit can handle. So it briefly reset itself long enough that the pc was out but not long enough to for your router.

Interesting. Well I'm pretty sure it couldn't have been a overload on the UPS since I was just randomly browsing the web when it happened and for the past two weeks I've done things that would really push the power envelope. I kind of skimped on the UPS, which I shouldn't have, but i could still find use for it if I upgrade which I may do here if I can't find a sensible solution so that it doesn't do that again. I mainly got a UPS because hair dryers were blowing out the power constantly and this is unacceptable lol.

Thanks for your technical answer with possible solutions. Both of which lead me to possible use this on electronics other than a PC.
