Hello,
my old UPS APC Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1200, 230V - https://www.apc.com/shop/uk/en/produ...30V/P-BR1200GI break and I need some help with choosing a new one.
I was not happy with the old one, it was constantly "buzzing" even when powered from the electrical network and basically no load, so I had to turn it off each night so I could sleep.

Specifications:
VA Rating: min. 1000 VA
Wattage: min. 700 W
Form Factor: Tower
Outlets: min. 5, 4 of these need to be backed up
Outlet Type: preferably Type E or Type F as a last choice IEC C13.

Eaton Ellipse PRO 1200 FR - http://www.eaton.com/fr/en-gb/skuPag...fications.html
CyberPower PFC SineWare GP 1300VA/780W LCD - https://www.cyberpower.com/hk/en/pro.../CP1300EPFCLCD
CyberPower Professional Tower LCD UPS 1000VA/900W - https://www.cyberpower.com/eu/en/product/sku/PR1000ELCD
APC Smart-UPS 1000VA - https://www.apc.com/shop/uk/en/produ...rrentSite=true

These are all ok but I don't know which I should buy? They do not state noise levels except the Eaton which says "<27 dB at 1 meter", I have no idea if at load or idle...
Do you guys have any personal experience with the UPS above or with a similar type? It must be quiet, that is the most important thing!

Thanks for help.

So I decided to buy the CyberPower Professional Tower LCD UPS 1000VA/900W and I love it, it's completely silent.

Any of those would have been a good replacement. They will be silent during normal operation but you'll definitely hear them during a power loss, which is when the fans kick in. I've owned a number of APC SUA 1500 units but now have the 2200VA rack edition of the CyberPower Pro series. It is holding up nicely and the battery has outlasted anything I've had in the APC units. I like the CyberPower rack versions because they are skinny and fit nicely under a desk without a large footprint. They come with plastic clamps to stand them on their sides and the LCD can be removed and turned 90°. The feet open up wide enough to also hold an expansion unit.
