Hi all, need your input on this -
I have the 220-240volt variant of this CyberPower PFC SineWave 1500VA/900W unit.
It's currently powering both PCs in my sig which during gaming does not use even half the UPS's capacity (based on the onboard LCD screen).
Now I want to attach our networking equipment to the battery backup sockets and I read that this is not advisable with AVRs or surge strips (power strips with individual fuses) with stepped/square wave as the abnormal wave triggers the surge MOFs and is detrimental to both the UPS and the AVR/Surge strip. Since this unit supposedly outputs a pure sinewave (see here), this technically should not be a problem.
Or is it?
My networking equipment ---
1 fiber optic modem
1 wifi router
1 dlink NAS w/ 2 5400RPM drives
1 10/100 8 port hub
tl;dr
Can I plug a surge strip/AVR in a SineWave UPS's battery backup outlet without any issues? Will only be used to power networking equipment above.
Edit: Sorry for the double post below -.-, always seems to happen around this time.
