Have a older Cyberpower 1000AVR I got for cheap a few years ago. Worked fine all these years always hit the power switch before leaving the house when possible thunder, etc. can occur. Got home today and went straight into "overload". Unplugged everything still the same error. Hit the Reset in the back and it cleared the overload but it still won't power on completely. Where it I believe tests the battery when it makes the switch over sound during startup it dies for a split second and keeps doing the same thing over and over. Pretty sure its the battery but never had this happen. Amazon seems to have one cheap for under $40 versus a new small UPS for over $100. Thanks!

Just the typical beeps until it tries to do the battery test at which point it power cycles rinse and repeat!

Could be either. I have seen both this with the 20+ units I manage. Although I don't recall having this bad behavior on a CyberPower unit.

Ordered the battery today from Amazon lets see how it goes! :)

New battery went in today and the issue went away after I let it charge for a few hours! It dipped a smidgen on the test but otherwise passed fine. I'll let it charge overnight completely before putting it back into the loop but. I did notice maybe normal before say the voltage is at 115V input output is the same. Isn't the AVR supposed to adjust that or because its less then 5% difference from spec it won't adjust it?
