I was wondering what people are using for UPS in recent months?

I have three Cyberpower CP1500PFCLCDs (http://www.cyberpowersystems.com/products/ups-systems/adaptive-sinewave-series/CP1500PFCLCD.html) that have served me quite well over the last ~ 2 years. One powers an i7-920 (OC) with GTX780, a 27" and a few other items. The second powers various HT electronics - tape decks, reel-to-reel decks, blu-ray players, router, cable modem, ATV, etc. The third basically babysits an iMac.

I'd like a fourth and final unit for another room and am wondering if this is still a good bet or if there is something new to consider. When will the Li-Ion UPS units become affordable?!

do you run on battery frequently? Why would you need a Li-Ion UPS? Personally, I use a Cyperpower 1350 AVR to protect against power drops or spikes. I'm looking to upgrade to at least a 2200 VAC unit (most likely cyberpower) OR2200LCDRM2U

Make sure that you have proper wiring for that. The US model will require a nema 5-20 outlet and a 20A circuit.
