UPS ~$150

Hi BMW -
I am purchasing the following for a new build. Primarily for surge protection.
APC / BK 500/ CS 500 VA/ 70s item A75-1088 104.99 from Tiger direct.
Seems I also found some info by Googling UPS reviews. Good luck
Tom

I'm using 2 of those CyberPower units, one on each computer. I was having problems this summer with low voltages and power outages. These things caught it right away, I'd hear them kick on and a few seconds later (for a brownout) they'd switch back over.

My main system specs are:
Asus A8R32-MVP|AMD Opteron 185 @ 2.8Ghz|2GB OCZ Platinum|Sapphire X1950XT|2x250GB WD SATA2 Raid 0|2x320GB WD SATA Raid 0|2x1TB WD SATA|Audigy 2 ZS|Lite-on DVD-RW|Lite-On DVD-ROM|Antec EarthWatts 500|Dual Samsung SyncMaster 730b

My other computer:
Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe|AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200|2GB Corsair|Gigabyte 7300GS|VistaView Saber 2020 Dual Tuner Pci-e|HighPoint Rocket Raid 2300 Pci-e|2x250GB WD IDE|4x500GB WD SATA2 Raid 10|4x500GB WD SATA2 Raid 10|LG DVD-RW|Corsair 620HX

I have about 20 minute runtime on the main system, but I have my LCD's in the UPS as well. My other computer is good for about 30 minutes. The LCD readout on the UPS is a great feature to have, tells me how much power I'm using, what the incoming voltage is from the wall, what the battery capacity is at, and how much run time I have left.
