Ok, maybe I'm confused, but it seems that I've read people saying that to really get a good OC on your 6800GT, you need to up the voltage to it.But, now I can't find anything saying that. Am I confused, here?
And if you CAN and should up the voltage to the video card, then how in blazes do you do it? I'm seeing stuff on soft modding and votl modding, but it's all jumbled in my mind.

I currently have my PNY 6800GT at 385/1000, but it doesn't want to go much higher. It'll go up to 415/1100 and still play games, but as soon as I run and 3DMark test, the test freezes, stutters, or just shuts down. So I thought maybe more voltage is needed, but I can't find anything saying just how to do that. Man, my brain is full. Too much research in too little time. :D

From what I have read yes upping the voltage helps if you want to OC higher. I believe you can soft mod it and it will up the voltage as well. I think people use the Ultra BIOS. There was a thread I saw a little while back that someone had done the GT to Ultra BIOS with no problems and it did up the voltage. I know it can be done though.

Hmm, well, I'm actually getting the card to be stable at 400/1000 right now. I thought it was the card, but I think it was my memory. Changed the memory form 1:1 to 10:9 and it seems to work like a charm, now.
3DMarks are working, now, at least.
I'm going to try 95 Prime, next. :)

good to hear. Yeah I have had my GT running at 400/1000 since the 2nd day I had it installed.
