Upping the Voltages on my CPU?

I have a athlon xp 1700 that is running at 50c all the time. its kind of hot and I was wondering if giving it some more voltage will make it cooler. I heard about this somewhere in the past but im not sure if im right...any help?

No it wouldn't make it cooler.

No, more volts would just make it hotter.

i dont know where u heard that but more volts yields higher temps
if u dont OC that sucker then u can try lowering your voltages
THEN you will see lower temps
