Upgrading wifi without sp2

Is it possible to upgrade only the wireless feature of Windows XP without sp2? I have Windows XP and don't want to install service pack 2. I have the 2001 version. I know that the wireless manager in sp2 is much better.
 
No. And for the love of all that is holy, install SP2. XP was a (hideously insecure) pile of shit before it.
 
Unless you provide a valid reason for not upgrading from SP1, you will be ruthlessly mocked and derided. Valid reasons include things like :
"the machine isn't on a network and my $50,000 logic analyzer won't work under SP2"

Valid reasons do not include things like :
"I'm afraid of upgrading"
"I can't pass WGA tests"

Wrong. They're all valid reasons.

Though 2/3 of those reasons won't get any help or sympathy out of us. The other 1/3 would elicit responses like "Tell the manufacturer of that logic analyzer to support their goddamn product".:D

Seriously? Get with the times. XP had it's place. Service packs exist for a reason. Stop being brainwashed into thinking that every upgrade and new OS can not possibly replace your 2001 version of XP. It was not written by god himself.
