Hello,
a couple of days ago my whs started constantly rebooting, doesn't go to post. I'm thinking it's the cpu. Followed the suggestions in the sticky post with no luck Current hardware is:
- E6600 cpu
- Gigabyte EP43-UD3L
- intel nic
- nvidia geforce 210
- Corsair 750w power supply
- 1GBx2 Crucial RAM
- Supermicro 5-in-3 hard drive enclosure with all slots occupied
- Antec Solo case

What would be a good choice for mb/cpu? I'm leaning towards an ASUS AMD Zacate E350 from what I've read in some other posts. Would something like a Supermicro server board be better? more options in case decide to switch from whs? thanks for your time.

You're losing a lot of effieciency using that large of a power supply on a WHS, but I guess if that is what you had on hand. You can go with a supermicro if you think you really need the reliability/extra features, but I would personally go with something like this.

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=G530BOX
$48 free shipping with coupon code TACKLE

then grab a cheap 1155 motherboard that suits your needs

about the same price, but way faster and similar power consumption I would guess
