Upgrading Vostro's Internal DVD Reader w/ Blu Ray?

I want to replace the DVD drive in my 3 year old Vostro 1500 with an internal blu ray drive with the sole purpose of backing up blu rays (and DVDs). The machine itself will not be able to watch any blu ray. I want to put my movies into formats that I can use on my nook color.

Is there something specific I need to look for or...?
