Presently, I have an ATI 9800XT. The replacement X850XT will be arriving next week.
I'm using Cat 5.2's (and also have an ATI T.V. PCI card in - if that matters).
Is it okay to just pull the old card out, put in the new one and reboot? Will XP see it and know what to do? Or, should I uninstall drivers & CP, restart in safe mode, shut down with old card. Then install new one boot up and reinstall drivers?
Plus, I've used Rage3D Tweak for my 9800XT. It has allot of extended registry settings it makes when you choose certain things. I'm worried about any possible conflicts. Or will things be easily identified.
Thanks,
Dim-Ize
