I am finally making the upgrade from win7 pro to win 10
I held off for a while but decided to do it, since it was pushed through windows updates .

My question is once the install and upgrade is done, do I need to upgrade drivers for my motherboard?

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77X-UD5H (rev. 1.0)

I have a ga-z77x-ud5h, which is a much older mother board but I see they have released win 10 drivers.

Do I really need to install these after the upgrade? Or should I skip these?

Thanks

windows update will take care of downloading ANY driver you may need in almost all cases.

Oh that is good to know, though I am curious why they even list it then?

But thanks, so far upgrade went smooth, overall no issues, but have not used it enough and still trying to get use to where things are

It would actually be best to use the driver set from Gigabyte if they have the windows 10 drivers..
as Windows does not always pick the best drivers from windows update

This comment is a bit of a blanket statement. The better option would be to install Windows 10 and fully update. Then using the Device Manager compare the installed driver versions to that available on the GA website. If a newer driver exist on the website, download and install it.

For the most part I would expect a 7 series board to be fully covered by Windows Update drivers.
