Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Does anyone know if I can set up RAID 1 with an old motherboard? (Its about three years old). And if so, how do I set up RAID? I've been looking for some tutorials, and most were pretty unhelpful.
yup
provided you buy a card compatible with 32Bit 33MHz PCI
(as opposed to a 64bit \ PCI-X or PCI-E card)
yup
however it will be capped at the PCI bus speed & bandwidth
not really an issue considering the light access your likely to have
youll get 133MB/s burst transfer speeds, as opposed to 150MB/s
which youd get with a SATA RAID controller intergrated with the chipset
realistically yout very likely not to even notice a difference
its nearly a moot point anyway with a RAID 1 mirror
since each drive is simply sending and recieving the data for a single drive
and then replicating it, youd be very very hard pressed to saturate the bus
