I am looking at upgrading my wifes pc to a p4. And I think I have decided which way to go. Here is what I am looking at:

Soltek SL-865Pro2-FGR (current m/b is a soltek so I figured sticking with them as the other one has been a good one)- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-180-057&depa=0

Intel Pentium 4/ 3.0C GHz 800MHz FSB, 512KB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-116-156&depa=0

1 Gig of Memory with Crucial 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 8T - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-541&depa=0

Like I stated, the Soltek board we have now has been a great board, so I will give Soltek a go with this one. Will the motherboard handle the processor etc and will this be a good combo??

Thanks

the price on intel comes down on august 22nd.. do a search on it... and the prescot celerons actually look like they are worth getting... just to things to think about before you put in your cc#

Why would I want a celeron? I am done with "value" processors. LOL. This may not happen anyways until september or so. So it will be good if the prices do drop.

Thanks
