i dont post much, but lately with snow I can't exactly drive a bike. So i decided to Finally upgrade my Graphics card.


Going up from a 6800XT to a HD3870. Should be a considerable upgrade, i dont game that much. especially in warm weather. What type of performance/fps will I be getting out of games such at UT3, crysis and the such? anybody with slight idea?


Some parts:
Lapped E6300
2 gig OCZ ram
Asus P5L-MX (matx:( )
Sunbeam Nuuo 550watt psu

thanks, next winter will probably be quad core :p
 
The 6800XT is about a 6600GT, so I was guess about 4 to 6 times the performance increase. Maybe more.
 
i just 3dmark06'd my 6800xt with a score of 2264. ouch.

will update this thread with 3dmark06 on the HD3870
