Well I'm finally upgrading my old system to something new and sexy.

Current system:
P4 [email protected]
Abit IC7
2x412mb Kingston HyperX PC2700 (Does 266FSB easily with 2.8V)
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 mb 440/800
Maxtor 40gb 7200RPM,

New setup:
AMD Athlon64 X2 4400+
Abit AN8 32X Nforce SLI
Corsair XMs 2gb (2x1gb)
2 MSI 7900GTX
Western Digital 250gb SATA Drive.

Anything I should change? Any suggestions? Keeping my DVD Burner so no need for me to get a new one.. It's a Plextor 716A :D

I'm personally not a big fan of the 7900 gtx

The 1900xtx are better, go crossfire

Single cards have fewer issues, and imo it's more cost-effective. The latest Catalyst 6.6 drivers are giving major headaches to Crossfire users.

I'd hold off a couple more weeks and get the new AM2 socket processor and board.

Also if you are lookin to spend that kind of cash why not get a raptor for your primary drive?

Hmm so I should wait wait for Conroe? Also what video cards should I go for? I'm not loyal to any company.

Also, what would be a good power supply?

You really dont need to wait any more for Conroe, its here already!

I think at the moment ATI cards are the best in terms of performance

So you guys are saying I should go with a Crossfire setup? It doesn't matter to me, I just want 2 video cards.

I'd agree with antimatter in that single cards have less issues (that and more cost-effective). But if you want it, go for it. I'd get AM2 as well, but I heard there were a few bugs with the CPU. If I heard wrong, new sockets are always a plus.
