I was thinking what should I get.. Heres my current Spec's

Asus A7N8X Deluxe
AMD XP 2400+ @ 2.25ghz
Kingston DDR400 512MB
Cooler Master Aero 7 Lite
Liteon 56X CD-ROM Drive
Sony Floppy Drive
Antec Smart 300W
Geforce 4 MX 440 SE
IBM Deskstar 40GB

Im thinking of getting a new motherboard, hsf, graphic card..

What do you guys think I should get..

So far I was thinking of the

Radeon 9800PRO and thats the only thing I got on my mind.. I want to upgrade this comp for the summer.

For the HSF you could just put a new fan on that Aero 7 Lite heatsink... thats what i did... and it works quite a bit better (I used an LED fan) Your motherboard looks fine to me, and if you want to do quite a bit of gaming, some more RAM along with the video card might be a better choice...

Just my $0.02

a new video card. 9800 pro's are great, or you might want to wait for the new ones to come out....

another stick of that ram.

maybe another hard drive if your running out of space.

Yeah, if you've got the money, wait until the next-gen cards come out. Otherwise stick with 9800pro :D

do you have a budget? i would spread it around a few things, RAM, HDD, video card, cd-rw or dvd-rom, and maybe a new PSU?

1) video card. Radeon 9600XT minimum. 9800 Pro or XT as budget allows.
2) Dump the deathstar for a Samsung Spinpoint HDD.
3) TDK or Plextor CD-RW (52X)
4) Zalman CMNPS 7000A/AlCu HSF.

The video card and HDD seem to be the bottlenecks in your current system. As some said, more RAM could help, depending on what programs (and games) you run. Between the spinpoint and the Zalman 7000A, you will get significant noise reduction while improving performance (you need 4 mounting holes around the CPU socket for the Zalman. Check their site for mobo compatability). You don't mention your case, but an Antec Sonata or SLK 3700BQE will improve airflow (and cooling)over most designs while reducing fan noise, and get you a slightly more powerful Antec PSU (380 or 350 W).

I really dont have a budget on parts.. Whatever I want I GET.

I was thinking a 9800 PRO, a new 80gb hdd, new motherboard, case im keeping its a tt xaser II and has perfect air flow. CD-RW and DVD drives dont entertain me.. my .02 cents they are worhtless, I dont even use my cd-rom drive barely... Only when i install new games.

Well if money is not an issue then get a new processor, mobo, another 512 of Ram and a new 6800 Ultra (and a new power supply).

If I was upgrading your system, I would get a Radeon 9800 pro for $211.00 at newegg, 512 megs or ram and maybe a better power supply.
