Hey all, just a quick question :)

I have a Copper TDX Block for Athlon64 754/939/940, and love it. Im planning on replace my AMD 3500+ Venice cpu with a Intel C2D e6400 cpu. My current waterblock wont work for the intel cpu right? Is there any way I can just replace the top and not the whole block? Will it be as effective?

Thank you for any help!

Yes, that's right.

That bay res fits in a CD-rom drive space.

I don't recommend using it though... It's hard as hell to bleed.

What else would you recomend? Right now my current setup is ugly (one of the reasons im upgrading my comp, not only to get rid of all the problems i have, but to also take everything out, make sure the wiring is clean, and to actually have my WC system mounted). I currently have a fillport with T fitting. It is just hanging out of the side of my case. Remembering that im trying to keep the price easy on my wallet, whats my best solution?

Personally? A 120mm "fan" reservoir mounted on the top of your case, or in a 130mm hole in an acrylic panel, is very pretty.

Other than that, the Swiftech Micro-Res seems to take the cake.

Thanks for the reply, i appreciate all of them.

Im not really sure what you mean by your first suggestion. I have a X-Flow Stealth GTS 240 Black Ice radiator which is fairly large, so I may not have a lot of room on the bottom of my case (the pump is on the bottom as well). Id much rather of some sort of reservoir than a fillport for some reason, that swiftech res looks pretty nice.

Definitely not the best pic in the world

But see the res mounted on the top? It sticks through a 120mm fan hole.

The swiftech Res is VERY popular.

Ah ok, i see. Thats a good pic for me to understand, thanks. Im going to look at the physical dimensions of the swiftech res and see if i can fit that in my case along with the rad and pump :)

I have the swiftech res and it is extremely easy to fill and bleed the system. I highly recommend it if you have the room.
