I'm trying to upgrade a Dell Dimension 2400 and I keep getting a bsod during setup while installing devices. It says "Bad_Pool_Caller" and "0x0c2, 0x07, 0x0cd4, 0x00340045, and 0xe16091bc. When I Google it I see that stop error but it's usually affiliated with upgrading from 2000 rather than from XP Home. I don't really see a solution there that fits my circumstances. Any ideas?

You might try installing to a different folder. This would let you keep all your saved files but, would necessitate reloading applications.

You could also just format and reinstall.

You could try to track down which driver or driver's are acting up by using driver verifier from the driver developer kit (see Microsoft)

Tracked it down to the 56k modem, which they don't use anyway, pulled the modem out, rebooted and installation finished normally. Thanks for the help.
