I have an G930 and been using it over 4 years. I plan to keep it until it dies. I'd like to get a recommendation for a new headset just in case. I can spend up to 400$ but I am not sure it would be worth spending that much.

I will primarily use it for gaming and music.

I am not sure if I can get a good performance for both gaming and music listening with a single headset. Maybe I need one for gaming and one for music?

1.) What are your recommendations?
2.) Do I need a sound card as well? IMy G930 is connected via USB. My X370 Taichi's on-board sound card is probably of "meh" quality.

Thank you very much.

Getting one of the Sennheiser headsets is probably your best quick bet. Your motherboard will power them easily.
