Upgrading From 8800GTX - Input Needed

Hello,
After having my 8800GTX for a little over a year, it's time for an upgrade. I can either go for two 4850s in Crossfire, or a single 4870 1024MB. I game at 1920x1200.

System Specs:
Watercooled Q6600 @ 3.2GHz
ASUS Blitz Formula P35 Chipset
Corsair 620W
3GB Crucial Ballistix
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I just installed a Diamond over clocked 4870X2. I replaced two XFX 8800GTX's.

Not as much noise going on. Kind of nice.
 
I'd go for the 1GB 4870 given your fairly high resolution. You'll benefit from the extra RAM with future games and you can always add a second one in CF if you need more performance.
 
Well bugger, Im not having great luck with that card. Im crashing and rebooting every game I try and play.
