Upgrading from 1680 x 1050

As the title says, I am looking to upgrade from the above resolution (Samsung 2232 BW Plus) to 1080. The catch is, I am on a pretty tight budget, so it looks like 120 hz is out of the question.

I was looking at the Asus VS238H-P for about $150 on Newegg. Anyone have experience with this display, or can give a good suggestion on what to look at?

Use will mostly be gaming.
