Upgrading e6550 to...

So I picked up a retail e6550 last week at Fry's for $79...wasn't too bad. I'm wondering if I should return it and instead go with their Q6600 labor day deal for $150 with the ECS board. I'll likely ebay that board since I got a P5Q deluxe.

So either:

1. stick with the e6550 and wait for some price drops
2. q6600
3. maybe a Wolfdatel? e7xxx or e8xxx?

Any ideas on which route I should go with cpu wise?

Agreed...anybody have experience with Fry's B&M sales with their cpu combos? Is it a 'first-come-first-server' type of deal with the lineups or do they usually have these pretty well in stock.

Try and sell the E6550 and get the Q6600. At this price, it really is a steal.

Sorry I'm not sure, but I'd say some places do combo deals for a number of days and that's it, until future things.

Q6600s are sub-$200 in Canada now as well. Q9450s are ripoffs though.

You get the motherboard and the cpu for $150. I can see you are not familiar with Fry's


There is usually plenty in stock. Today I picked up the E7200/ecs combo for $100. Was in Friday's paper with today being the last day. The Q6600 combo for that price is today only
