My new 3850 is here and I need to pull my current 1900GT out and upgrade the drivers. Current driver version is 7.1 so I know I need to go to 7.11.

What is the preferred procedure? Should I remove the drivers from add/remove then boot to safe more and use driver cleaner then shutdown and swap the cards, boot up and install drivers?

Thoughts?

thats what i do, should be easy enough since its ati to ati and not like ati to nividia and the such, enjoy the new toy!

You using XP or Vista? I find Vista to do a better job at cleaning stuff up/ getting rid of it
