I've been thinking about selling my HP LP2465 to buy the LG L246WP-BN that's on sale for $299 refurbished. What do you guys think? Would it be a worth while switch? There's nothing wrong with my LP2465 per se, I don't have the ghosting problems and there's no BLB at all, but the bezel is scuffed up since I bought it used so the LG looks more appealing to me. I primarily use my monitor for watching movies and doing casual PS work. From what I've read in the LG thread, it looks like this monitor is perfect for that. Any input?

You're gonna dump one of the best LCDs ever made just because the bezel is a little scuffed up?

Maybe you should look into getting a Mac... :D </sarcasm>

But seriously... I'm almost speechless because I simply cannot fathom the reasoning behind this line of thought... it's just beyond me.

Wow...

I have the LP2465 not the LP2475. I thought most people here despised the LP2465 for its supposed input lag?

The picture quality is quite good and it works well enough for CS3 work but I'm really OCD so the bezel really bothers me. Seeing all the rave reviews of the LG and all the poor reviews of my HP, I figured the LG would be the way to go, no? In all honestly I have thought of picking up the refurb 24" Imac, yeah it's an overpriced Mac but it's panel is gorgeous and the exterior looks great too. They no longer sell the $1299 one though and I'm not willing to shell out $1600 for something that slow.

Yes, replace that old thing.
Selling your old display? how much?

Not sure, I think market is around $350 so probably like $300. Probably will try local sale first though if I do decide to sell.

The LG246 is horrible. I used to have one for a while before returning it. The text is nowhere near as crisp as a TN or IPS panel, it made my eyes hurt trying to read on the thing. It's not a very fast panel either. I really have nothing good to say about the monitor, I'd rather use a $200 TN than that.

+1 to R0ach's comments. My bro-in-law hates his LG246. I suggest saving for the HP 2475 if you really want a better 24".
