I may be coming into a few hundred in a week or so that I can actually spend on myself. Current rig is in sig. This is my thoughts.

Both these from Microcenter for 300 combo price. Then pick up 12 gb off newegg when it goes in sale for 100-120?

Just for gaming? or VM?

I don't think 8-12GB is needed for gaming.

Also, are your games slow or are you just looking to upgrade?
 
Really I just want to upgrade. It's been too many years since I had something new and I am growing bored!
