I am going to upgrade my CPU/motherboard/Ram to the new intel x6800 or 6700 and, for the ram, probally OCZ plat rev 2 (800) 6400

What cpu/mb/ram would you recommend I get (i am open to any changes recommendations). I have up to $1500 to spend on the upgrade and reall do NOT do much, if any oc.

The problem is that my current system I have 2 nvidia 7800 gtx in sli. SOOOO, my second question is should I stay with an sli motherboard and keep the video cards or sell them off, and swtich to a crossfire or different type of mb?

Any thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Im not real up to date on my conroe motherboard/RAM options but I have seen in several benchmarks that the E6600 performs nearly as well as the E6700 and is significantly cheaper last time I checked.

Also 2 - 7800GTXs in SLi is enough power for todays games. I would see if you can find an Intel SLi board and keep your GTXs. Wait to upgrade your video cards after Vista and Direct 3D 10 comes out.
