Upgrade Suggestions?

With Christmas coming around, and my parents wanting suggestions for gifts to buy me (yay!) I'm looking at things they can buy me for my computer...

I'm look for something that will give me more performance on my Main rig, in sig, thats preferably under $150 CAD.

I was looking at a AMD AthlonXP 3000+ for $165... or another stick of 512MB of RAM for $117..

Any suggestions you guys have?

Edit: I'm not looking for anything specific, just for a general perspective of what would be a good choice...

I think upgrading your memory would be the best thing. Its not worth it to get that CPU when you can get a A64 for the same price

Actually, I can't. You probably missed the "CAD" part, I have to buy locally, and In Canada, we use the Canadian Currency. The cheapest A64 I can buy here, 3000+ is $195...

I'm not looking really for what Upgrade would be the best, thats still important though, but I'm moreso looking for "what kind of upgrade should I get with $xxx"

Yea, probably ram would be the best upgrade for that price range.

well..your question has pretty much been answered...so...

here's another idea...how about your video card? The rest of your system is fine really..just oc the cpu (unless it already is...).

Yeah, I was looking at Video cards... a little bit out of the range... but maybe possible.

The CPU isn't overclocked much, as I don't need to, but I do OC the video card 50MHz or so...
