Upgrade recommendations on older machine

I have an older machine that I just ebayed in a Q6600 to get me running BF3.
I have 2x 9600gt cards in SLi

I know im bottlenecked by...everything, but is a worth while videocard upgrade for $150cdn available to help me squeeze a little more time out of my machine?
 
i would just honestly save up because even if you got a single gpu that outperforms both your 9600's your going to be bottlenecked by your CPU.

you would be better off saving up and getting a good GPU and a modern quad core, the core 2 cpu's really suck when it comes to FPU performance and that is what matters in BF3 along with decent graphics power.
