Is it worth going from a Celeron D 2.4GHz, does 3.6GHz but runs a little hot, to a P4 2.4C for about $40 Canadian?

EDIT: Oh yeah, according to the orb the P4C would net me another 2-3K in 3DMark 2001 at stock. I get almost 18K when I overclock the celly, but I know that the P4C's overclock quite good as well.

If 3Dmark is your thing, then go for it I guess. The 2.4C should get you to >3.0ghz with a 30 cap substrate.

30 cap substrate? What kind of temps do the P4C's get anyway (stock cooling)?
