I was looking to upgrade my old 8800GTX with 4870 1GB card because I'm sick and tired of nvidia driver crashing under vista whenever I try to run two instances of WoW and watch a video on a second screen. Besides, games are kinda slow if I run them in 1900x1200 mode.

My current config:
Asus P35 m/b, Intel q6600, 4GB RAM, 1900x1200 display as primary, 1600x1050 display as secondary, PSU OCZ SLI 520W

So I wonder, is it a good idea or bad idea?
 
How many hard drives you have?? Only cuz the 520 PSU might need a upgrade as well.
Other than that you should be good to go.
 
Right now I use 4 hard drives, may just move 2 into external box or something.

I was actually wondering how P35 board w/o PCIE2.0 would handle 4870 card. Am I going to lose any fps performance wise?
