Hi Guys...

I'm currently running this system:

Core i7-2600k
P8P67 Deluxe
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB
2x1TB WD Black 1TB
1x2TB WD Green
GTX580

and the usual keyboard/mouse/dvd etc.

I'm using an Enermax Modu82+ 625 watt psu which I've had for a few years now, and which has survived quite a few system upgrades in that time. After reading this forum for a bit I've noticed that you guys recommend upgrading a PSU after they're a few years old. It's never given me any trouble and is still working perfectly... would you recommend upgrading it, and, if so, what to? I do not intend running SLI at any stage. Cheers.
 
look at the psu output in the bios and report what the 3v,5v and 12v rail/s are putting out.
 
ok well the 12v and 5v rails look good but it looks like the 3v rail is out of spec by double the 5%+/-. It should be no more than 3.15v if my math is correct. I am not sure what the impact of this is on the performance of you pc. Anyone?

Correction: It's 3.3V, not 3V. And the voltage on the +3.3V rail should neither be lower than 3.135V nor higher than 3.465V.
 
The voltages are 12v 5v and 3.3v so at a 5% drop leaves 3.135v

If you have not ran it at more then 80% load I'd be comfortable with keeping it for 5 years

I just had an old enermax 305watt die from an early pentium 4 box from 2001, though I think it died when the power company de-energized and re-energized the lines to fix a temporary storm repair while I was at work. PSU smelled burnt and the fuse inside was blown, but the pc is fine with a new power supply.

According to the PSU's label (that image came from Newegg's site even though it is now a discontinued PSU), 600W (50A) total combined +12V capacity.
