Upgrade PSU for Crossfire Setup.

I had a system upgrade forced on me a little while back as my AMD FX53/SLI system died suddenly after years of service. I put together a budget rig quickly ( Check sig.) to get up and running again and to be a base for future upgrades. Too quickly I'm afraid. As I was in somewhat of a rush wanting a computer at home again and didn't have alot of cash to flourish on dream equipment. Seems I made a somewhat hasty and poor decision on the PSU. (RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS. I know :(

Planned future upgrades later this summer in anticipation of Battlefield 3 but it seems like I will have some money to spend sooner. Next is a 120gb SSD for Win7 and a couple games, another 6850 in a crossfire setup, later perhaps an AMD Bulldozer when the come out, and definitely a new PSU ASAP.

Actually the Raidmax isn't doing badly right now and the voltages are OK with mild overclocking but I don't want to chance the PSU taking my whole system down. Certainly will not do for a Crossfire setup and I wouldn't even try it.

Anyway, what would you guys suggest as a stable power supply for my system running crossfired 6850's in a mid to high level gaming rig. The only requirement I have really is it to be modular as I hate hiding wires.
 
I would go in this order. Any one of these three are solid and shouldn't cast any doubt.

I have an HX series PSU and love it. For not the desire of going modular I would have considered the TX.

OP specified modular was a must so TX is off the list. Otherwise you are correct it's a quality supply.

There are many other quality supplies out there for less money than Corsair but not with the level of service that comes with a Corsair product should something go wrong. Sometimes you do in fact get what you pay for.
 
Any modular Corsair, Antec, XFX or high quality PSU will do fine. I believe the Sparkle PSUs (Purple fans) are good as well (The 1200w unit JonnyGuru tested beat the Corsair 1200w unit) perhaps a bit expensive (dont recall exact prices) if they are modular that might be a good choice. It all depends on what your looking for, just make sure it is a high quality PSU and it will last just fine.
