Right now I have the Abit KG7-Raid, an XP1800+, 512MB pc2100 and a GeForce 3 Ti200. I am starting to notice some slowness when running many different things at once. I have a 160gb maxtor HD with 8MB cache and 7200RPM. I think filling up about 145gb of this has made it harder for my system to keep up when running different programs or games. So I am wondering, what should be the first thing to upgrade?

Do I need to add more ram now or change the motherboard first so I can upgrade the ram later? I dont need anything onboard because the kg7 didnt have anything onboard.

I don't want to spend very much right now because funds are limited, but I am just trying to get ideas on what you think should be upgraded first.

Thanks.

Try defragging first. Also, you might get a CD-burner if you don't have one and start burning some of the stuff to CD.

145 of 152 GB is pretty darn full. Adding another HDD and dumping your files on it would be a good place to start, followed by a good defrag.
