Hello, i own old good i7 920 cpu (clocked 3.80) + nvidia GTX 570.

It's time for new configuration or not?
- 3770K
- Z77
or should i wait for new i7 releases?

What do u think...thanks

At this point there are no cost effective upgrades to any of the current CPUs or platforms from your overclocked i7-920/X58 combo. The i7-3770K and Z77 combo will cost you much more money than what you'd gain in performance even after accounting for what you'd get back by selling your i7-920 and X58 combo. (And please, do not ask for a price check anywhere in these forums outside of the paid subscription access General May[H]em forum.) And since you already have a perfectly adequate CPU and a fast (but not the fastest) GPU, the only worthwhile upgrade that you can make at this point would be an add-in PCI-e USB 3.0 card (if your motherboard has only USB 2.0 capability).

Thanks for reply mate. I expect a reply in this direction ;)
Looks like this was good buy in 2008. Sure, now almost 2 years with changed GPU.

Take care, cheers
