I've got an HD2900Pro that seems like it is about ready to give up the ghost.
Figure this is as good a time as any to upgrade it.

Rig in sig is mostly for gaming (MW2, WoW) at monitors native 1680x1050
Only looking to spend $100-200 (Canadin Links prefered :) )

Been out of the video card market for long enough that I really have no clue where to start.
I'm not an ATI or Nvidia fanboy.

Im just saying this but if all you play is MW2 and WoW...then something much cheaper will do...I mean, anything is really a step up from what you have now, but something like a cheap 4850 512MB can run all your games maxed out at that resolution...I mean, I have one for sale for $80...no need to spend close to $200 on a video card...keep it cheap and you can get a good card!

As far as recommendations...look again for a cheap 4850/4870 or a 9800 or 8800 series card...something like a 8800GTX or 9800GTX should be pretty cheap and plenty of horse power...I wouldn't however recommend anything below the ones mentioned above. I hear good things about the 4670...but these are mainstream at best and dont give anywhere near the performance of the cards above, which all can be found used for the same price as a 4670 (or NV equivalent) new!

I can relate to your pain, using that card is like beating a dead horse. If your looking to upgrade I'd say jump to an ATI 5770 for your price bracket. yeah! a 4850 is cheaper so on and so forth, but the 5770 has greater longevity (and performance) including it's DX11 compliance and runs for around $180 US. Your budget prohibits, why buy old generation then? You'll gain ATI Eyefinity Technology and DX11 compliance. Hey! you may be jumping the gun on DX11, but why not?
