Hi folks,

I currently am running:
i7-860 2.8Ghz quad-core
MSI GTX 760 2GB
8 GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM

I'm looking at good deals on the 1060, both 3GB and 6GB versions. I'm gaming on a 1080p monitor. Would a 1060 be a good upgrade, or do I need to be planning a full new build?

the 1060 should be a pretty decent boost by itself.....But it wouldnt hurt it you overclocked the cpu!

The CPU is getting pretty old no doubt. However, it should be just enough for gaming at 1080P. I wouldn't waste money on a 3GB 1060 though. Get a 6GB.

Thanks guys. I think I'll pick up a 6GB and put off the new build for another year or two.
