I've been a proud owner of the Logitech z-5500 for about 2 years now and the things have been amazing. When I first bought them, I was into gaming and enjoyed the surround sound, however - lately I've been doing mainly music only, and even some music editing.

I'm moving now and taking the speakers off the wall, and really don't want to hang them back up at the new place cause it's such a hassle, and really - I don't need the surround sound anymore. So, I was thinking of selling these (PM if interested) and buying an upgrade.

What suggestions does anyone have for $3-500 range for an awesome sounding set of 2.1 speakers, or even a custom setup with a reciever? Idk if that's possible for this price range.

Here's my thread on the similar subject. While I stated a limit of $200, suggestions were made for ~$300... probably on your lower end, but maybe it will give you a place to start. :)

rock on man!

Looks fantastic.. gives me some ideas, and I can even upgrade on some things.
