i just bought a corsair h50. i want to upgrade my fan for the h50. i am wonering which fan does better cooling for my amd 940 (later 965). also i want to overclock it.

I agree. I tried the H50 in push-pull with the stock H50 fan and a 110 CFM Scythe Slipstream (not high static pressure, but it was just temporary while waiting for the CM R4 to arrive). The push-pull setup dropped peak temps by 4C vs the initial push setup. That was enough for me to be able to run a 100 MHz faster overclock (3.5 rather than 3.4 GHz) without going over-temperature on any of the cores, but the noise level was significantly increased.When it comes to radiator fans, my understanding is that you really want something that can force air. This isn't necessarily a matter of higher cfm. I picked up some Scythe S-Flex fans for my H50 and I'm noticing significant improvement in temps over the Akasa fan it came with. I tried push / pull with the S-Flex fans but the additional noise was not worth the marginal cooling in my opinion.
