Upgrade e7200?

I currently have an e7200 @ 4.0 on water (my step-sons rig). I was thinking of upgrading the CPU. I'm just wondering what would be a good upgrade (not going i5/i7 or quad). he games and likes editing pictures. Is the e8400 really that much better? thanks guys
 
i had a e8400 before and that cpu was a beast. i got it to 4.2 ghz stable on air cooling. i gamed alot and it was very nice. i never did any editing tho.
there is a chart online somewhere where you can compare cpus. i forget where tho but it showed alot of different benchmarks andi think it would really help you make your decision.if i remember where it is i will post it for you

now with the e8400 you best one are the E0's right? I was thinking of selling my e7200 for $$$$ dont know really and I've seen e8400 (used ranging from 120-160
