Hey gang. Just launched my new rig two days ago.And am new to NVidia after a decade of ATI.

Vista 64 2x 8800GTX SLI, 4mb Ram Q6600.

I'm using the July drivers (162.22 from memory...) and was thinking of moving on to the beta drivers.

What I wanted to know: is there an NVidia tool to properly uninstall/install drivers/updates? Or, if not, can somebody point me to the best procedure?

Thanks!

un-install the drivers in the add/remove program part of windows, or in the device manager. Don't let vista install new drivers for the card when it asks you to, just keep on using the standard vga drivers. Then run driver cleaner pro. Then install your new drivers.

Thanks- got them installed. Figuring our how to get the second cards drivers installed wasn't the most intuitive but am running the latest now.

The drivers should automatically cover both cards, and when you first log-in to your system upon installing new drivers, a pop-up message in the notification area will alert you to set SLI mode to On.

Mark.

Both cards: nope
SLI alert, yes.
