I'm going from:
Asus P4T533-c
2.53 GHz
1024 Kingston 1066 memory
to
Asus P4P800 deluxe
2.4c GHz
512 Mushkin "222 special" memory
Thermalright SP-94 heatsink
I'm going to try to overclock the crap out of the 2.4, but I'll take it one step at a time. I'm just wondering how much of a speed difference I'll see with programs such as DVD software. I'm playing around with my NEC 2500a and it seems like it's taking forever for DVD X-Copy to read the dvd.
BTW - the Mrs is getting my old system. She's had my "old" system (Asus CUSL2) forever and I talked her into her needing an upgrade (so I can get a new system at the same time)
