I hope this is ther right place to put this.

The cpu&motherboard I am running in my desk top PC originally came from Compaq. Thus, the bios for the cpu are locked. I have a 2.8ghz p4 northwood in it. Multipliers 14, fsb is 200.

If you need info on chipsets, mobos, bios versions, then let me know. I have this info just don't want to type it out if I don't need it.

What I am asking is, what do I need to do to update my bios? I hope this can be done..

Again mods if this is the wrong place, flame me horribly and move it to its correct position :D

Edit: My temps while using firefox, using xfire, using winamp, never goes over 100'F with stock hsf, obviosly not OC'ed.

This is definitely the right forum, but if you don't find good responses in here I will gladly move it to the General Hardware forum if you wish.

Cool thanks for the link. I updated with them, but maybe my mobo itself doesn't support changing the FSB, as i'm not seeing the option
