Alright, so I was reading on a FAQ page for my mobo (ASRock Dual-SATA2) that the correct way to set up an AGP video card is to first install the AGP Driver (ULi AGP v3.0 Controller Driver), then after reboot install VideoCard-specific drivers (which would be Catalyst 6.3 with my radeon 9800pro).
The problem was I didn't have the ULi Controller Driver installed, just the catalyst stuff. So, I uninstalled my catalyst stuff and installed the ULi Controller Driver, then installed Catalyst again. Now, Oblivion opening screen doesn't look right (there are huge triangles of color all over, hard to explain)...and worst of all, Catalyst can't even render the little car example it has! The graphics go a bit haywire, and windows throws an error of some sort.
What could be the problem and, more importantly, what could be the solution?
