Update MSI X79MA-GD45 BIOS without CPU?

Short version: can I? I have a 3960X that requires a BIOS update before it can POST.

Long version: if anyone can point me to a direction in which I can have my BIOS updated it would be appreciated... I am thinking of ordering a CPU from Amazon just to update the BIOS and then return it. Or if anyone is near the Boston area and have a 3930K and is willing to drop by/let me drop by to update my BIOS it would be appreciated! I really don't want to send the thing into RMA, it takes forever.
 
Or anyone in the Boston area with the same motherboard that could pop in your bios chip and flash it for you.
 
I think that the new Asus boards are the only ones that allow Bios update without a processor present!
