Do I need to update the Bios before I OC my system? I am affraid my system will be messed up if I flash it wrong. I heard that Raid arrays can get messed up when flashing the Bios! Is this a real problem?? I am running Bios version F2.

No, you don't necessarily have to update the BIOS. However, sometimes it may be desirable to do so based on the changes made between BIOS revisions. I suggest that you look at the release notes for the latest BIOS for your motherboard and compare them with your current revision, and make your decision based on that.

As for the RAID issue, I don't know if that will be a concern for you or if it even still exists with newer boards. Someone else will have to answer that.

Nowadays flashing your motherboard BIOS is as easy as updating your video card drivers, but only do it if you have to for CPU or memory compatability. No need just to flash to have the latest...
