** Upcoming PC Games Release Dates (U.S.) **

Call me a gaming whore - I don't care, but I want at least three quarters of those. But Jesus, look at May!

Doom 4 in 2011? Optimistic much?

Regardless, there is some good stuff in there for sure. Very much looking forward to Portal 2, Heroes VI, Rage, Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Arkham City.

Witcher 2 and Fable 3 come out on the same day? Ouch, Fable 3 might lose some sales due to that. One critique about the list: You should arrange it by release date. Its kind of a mess right now with stuff seemingly tossed in wherever.

Fable 3 looks fantastic. I've seen some really sweet gameplay footage. I just never expected it to arrive on the PC so this is a pleasant surprise. The entire game resembles a children's story book. The art style is unique, and of a very high calibre. People, trying to be cool, will make fun of it, and that will be a great shame.

I enjoyed what I played of it on the 360, but listening to people that beat it it doesn't sound like its as good as Fable 2. I hope MS is including the DLC with the PC version, or at least offers it in general.

I agree. I'm looking foward to fable 3 as well.

I cant wait for operation flashpoint : red river, yeah the last one suffered from consolitis hardcore, and was buggy on the pc side, but once you got past that, it was a good game, and they sold it for 40 dollars, so its not like they were trying to rip you off like crysis 2 for a port.

Rage comes out on my birthday, been interested, although I haven't been liking the direction ID has been talking about going with games lately.

What's with the site pimp???

Anyways, that post tells me almost absolutely nothing. Estimated release dates do nothing.

My core problem with OPF is that the game was really nice as har as game engine, but suffered horrendously from the consolitus of the menus and MP aspect of it. Not to mention Codemasters is a really shitty company who doesn't support their games very much after release. They dropped support 3-4 months after releasing the last OPF. That's a fucking record if I ever saw one.

Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim and Duke Nukem Forever are the only games I really want, all others will wait until I can get them for 10-20$.

I dunno why but I hope to god postal 3 gets released. Shitty game, but Loved the mindless running and gunning of #2.

Looks like they left out Darkspore, on April 26, which I realized the other day does have co-op and MP that looks like it could be a lot of fun.

I hope Darkspore is good. I tried to get in on the beta and never did. It does look fun.

Yeah, it really does... very Diablo-esque with some surprisingly great visuals/effects, it seems pretty creative, and the gameplay for both single-player and co-op actually look like they've been done right.

I know my wife and I have been looking forward to it for a while, so here's to hoping it actually does turn out well, especially with the co-op, unlike the ridiculous flop of Dungeon Siege 3's "co-op" recently announced.

Here's also to hoping that it doesn't come with some ridiculous DRM scheme either.

Wow. Just checked out the vids for Firefall, which I hadn't even looked into, and the visuals look excellent, very stylized but detailed and vibrant, and gameplay looks like fun, from what I'm seeing so far... and the game is free. Definitely have to keep an eye on this one.

Have you seen the "WTF is" video for Darkspore?

I'm sure it'll have EA's usual DRM. Release control, solid shield, online account.

No, I somehow missed those, but checking them out right now, thanks!

EA and their "jump through the hoops to play the game you paid for" routine.

Isn't SolidShield a rather horrid DRM scheme that's been know to cause bugs, as well as "game ownership" and serious privacy concerns alike?

I've not played a game as of yet that's used it, that I know of, and I always look into a game's DRM scheme. I'm sure I'll still being playing Darkspore if it turns out as good as it's looking, though.

I cant remember what, if any, games I've played that have used it, though I don't think any up until this point (or that I knew of at the time).

Yeah I found out about those videos a while ago when a friend directed me towards Magicka. Got hooked on them.

Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age 2 both use SolidShield and it works well. Its better then SecuROM at least.

The list is sorted by release date. And yeah Spore was a bit of a let down for me, I do hope Darkspore will be a big improvement.

I certainly hope so. Fable 3 was utter crap. I'm actually surprised they even continued working on it to push out a late pc port after seeing how poorly the 360 version was received. I loved Fable 2. I wish I hadn't bought Fable 3.

STALKER 2 is the one I'm eagerly awaiting,2012 seems so far away! I only pray GSC doesn't make the same mistake CRYTEK did with Crysis 2.

It was fun, but fair warning - the second 'half' of the game goes by quick and is severely lacking. The game was a pure disappointment in that aspect.

haven't read much on STALKER 2 and your post insinuates that it will be multi-platform. did some googling...no bueno. i'm all for sharing the wealth and letting other players experience the STALKER universe, but i just can't see how this game will translate to consoles. i love STALKER games but i'll keep an eye on this one with nervous anticipation.

Battlefield 3 is my only interest only that list...wait for portal 2 to go under 20 dollars. $44 dollars is just too much for cake.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion might make it out by the end of the year- will be pre-ordering...:p

They stated it would be multi-platform when it was first announced. I hope they don't develop it with consoles as the primary focus then just port to the PC,which is obviously the case with Crysis 2. I'm hoping for an epic game with the size and scope of Shadow of Chernobyl.

The nature of the control limitations on consoles naturally dictates that any game that is multi-plat without a distinct PC version will be 'dumbed down' as Crysis 2 was. It is an unfortunate fact of life.
