Unusual Problem

I am having Win XP SP2 on which i am running a CA clipper DOS application.
The exe is complied in ver 5.0. (Source code not available)

The app. is running fine but i am facing a problem

In the reports option i have 3 options for output

Printer (working fine)

Screen (displays result on screen)

Text (displays on screen and then ask whether to save in txt format)

Some reports are shown very quickly and regularly but most of the times when screen or text is selected the report is processed in background and not displayed instead the app comes back to the menu from where it was triggered

Can anybody help me out what can be done.

Is this something related to DOS INT or some thing else like say over speed tickling of CPU ???

Kindly focus on this issue and elaborate what can be done.

This has nothing to do with memory but I will answer anyways.

Try running the application in a cmd.exe not from the Start Menu.

I have tried from all options like cmd.exe even command.com also

But not successful yet. Any guess ???

I think I remember seeing all kinds of screen redraw/timing issues when playing with turbo pascal on xp in school. Keypresses getting registered multiple times, requiring quicker 'taps'?
Other than that maybe try Dosbox.
