I upgraded my system, and I wanted to put my Coolermaster Aquagate Mini in my new setup once I made sure everything was working. Today I went to uninstall the aquagate off my old setup. It seemed to be going fine, until I went to pull the water block off of the motherboard. It seemed a little stuck, which I expected due to the thermal paste. However, it was stuck on there so tight, it pulled the processor straight out of the socket with the lock still down. (Processor seems to have been unscathed. One pin was bent very slightly, but I quickly fixed it). Now, I have the problem of separating the waterblock and the cpu, and I can't for the life of me figure out how. I even went so far to try and use some fishing line to cut through the thermal paste, but that snapped in half. I'm out of ideas, is there any realistic way to get this off without damaging the processor (It's going into my dad's computer), or am I better off just leaving it on and buying a new Aquagate?
